Wayne Powell served on the Manhattan Beach City Council for 8 years (elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2013), serving twice as the Mayor (2012/2013 and 2014/2015). Wayne also served on the Los Angeles County Beach Commission (appointed in 2010, reappointed in 2012 and 2016), and as its Chair (2015). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the MB Community Emergency Response Team (MB CERT founding board member), MB Historical Society, MB Coordinating (Education) Council and the P.S. I Love You Foundation. He’s a graduate of Leadership MB (class of 2005) and an Eagle Scout. Wayne is the Host and Producer of the radio show ‘Powell to the People’ on the Healthy Life radio network.
