WHO WE ARE - The Distinguished Speaker Series of Southern California is presented by Swan Production, LLC a for-profit organization in Manhattan Beach, CA
Events - The Distinguished Speaker Series presents six live theater events beginning in September and ending in May. The Series is held four nights in a row taking place in four venues: the 3,000 seat Terrace Theater in Long Beach, the 1,500 seat Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, the 1,800 seat, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, and the historic 1,300 seat Pasadena Ambassador Auditorium. Over 7,000 people attend the Series each month.
COMMUNITY IMPACT - The Distinguished Speaker Series began in 1996 to create something unique in Southern California that would educate, enlighten, and entertain. The Series features national and global leaders, Nobel Prize winners, newsmakers, and authors. These presentations are with the most fascinating, prestigious, forward-thinking experts and celebrities – tackling some of the most pressing and provocative issues of our time. Our presentations bring neighbors together - stereotypes are challenged and attitudes changed; where shared experiences can ignite positive actions; where arts, culture, education and entertainment collide; where our communities are strengthened and transformed through real, important conversation. Previous speakers include, Presidents Joe Biden, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. World leaders like Margaret Thatcher,Mikhail Gorbachev, Malala Yousafzai, Yo-Yo Ma, Robert Redford, John Wooden and 100 more.
