Walk With Sally provides hope through our individualized mentoring and community support services to empower children experiencing trauma through a parent, guardian or sibling's cancer journey. Cancer changes everything. At Walk With Sally we start by matching children ages 7 – 17 impacted by a parent, guardian, or sibling's cancer to an adult mentor who has also been impacted by cancer. We call these Friendships. This gives them the regular and consistent support they need to continue to grow during these critical years. In addition, we provide year-round curriculum such as activities that bring all Friendships together as community, art healing allowing for each child begin learning to express themselves, leadership groups that teach about life skills and giving back, scholarships to help with secondary education and connection to county wide resources for the child and family. Finally, we provide emergency financial assistance to help families in crisis.
