Kathleen Terry Bio:
Kathleen Terry is the Founder and Executive Director of Participative Management Systems a training and development company that provides coaching, leadership development, and team building programs to both corporations and nonprofit organization. She is a past president of the Manhattan Beach Rotary Club and currently the Senior Assistant Governor for Membership for Rotary District 5280. She is an active community volunteer within Manhattan Beach and is presently on the board of South Bay Families Connected and the Volunteer Center of the South Bay. She is a strong advocate for building stronger communities through volunteer engagement. In addition to her work in building and developing teams, she works in helping nonprofit boards function more effectively and has facilitated board retreats and strategic planning sessions throughout the South Bay.
Jan Buike Bio:
Jan Buike has been the Supervisor of the Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation’s Older Adults Program for 11 years, the first full-time position of the program. Prior to joining Parks and Recreation, she started in 1991 as the Care Manager for the City of Manhattan Beach Older Adults, first through South Bay Senior Services then Beach Cities Health District. Jan is from Michigan originally and has Social Work and Education degrees from Michigan State University and a Masters in Gerontology from CSU Dominguez Hills. She has been a Manhattan Beach Rotarian for 12 years and loves the volunteer and community spirit exhibited by the members.
