Free Community Workshops with Yarn Bombing Los Angeles at the Creative Arts Center

Join Yarn Bombing Los Angeles in an intrepid exploration of shared topographies and hidden treasures in Manhattan Beach and beyond. All works will be exhibited in a grand opening at the Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center on May 23, 2014.

Get involved in the following activities with Yarn Bombing Los Angeles in Manhattan Beach:  

1. Community Yarn Bombing – Bring your own knit/crochet squares, any color, fiber, or stitch. Join us at our workshops to make cozies for the trees around the Creative Arts Center. Open to Southern California residents only.
2. Networking… Literally – Celebrating the tradition of beach volleyball in Manhattan Beach, join us at our workshops to weave an image of Manhattan Beach, sun, sand and sea, into a volleyball net. Open to Southern California residents only.
3. Put a Ring on it – If you like something, then you should put a ring on it! Craft a knit or crochet ring and send us a picture of your ring atop an unexpected, underappreciated, hidden treasure in your life (see examples on the Yarn Bombing webpage). Open to local, national, and international crafters. Submit your image online by May 1, 2014.
