Dancing With The South Bay Stars

I’ve been invited to participate in Dancing with the South Bay Stars IV competition.

It’s an annual event hosted by the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation (TCAF) to raises funds for a variety of non-profit groups.

Here’s how it works:

The TCAF invites local ‘celebrities’ to participate in a dance competition for their charity of choice.

It’s a one-night-only event held at the James Armstrong Theater.

Each ‘star’ will be partnered with a professional dancer and will spend several months putting together a dance routine.

On February 7, 2015 the dancers will perform their routines for the theater audience and three professional judges.

Half of each dance team’s points will be based on the judge’s scores.

The other half will be based on votes from friends, family, supporters and audience members.

Voting is taking place online NOW and you’ll be able to vote at the theater the night of the event. Each vote costs $1.

Every charity represented will receive a donation with the winning team bringing home the Mirror Ball Trophy!

I’ll be dancing for the Manhattan Beach Community Emergency Response Team Association. I did my training with, and am a member of, MBCERTA; and George Butts, the President of MBCERTA, is one of our producers on The South Bay Show. MBCERTA provide a much needed service for our South Bay community and I’m thrilled to support their efforts.
