Please join the Public Works Department for a Community Meeting on the city's proposed Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2014-2015 through 2018-2019. The meeting will begin at 6:00 PM in the Police/Fire Conference Room and will include a power point presentation and Q & A session.
The Capital Improvement Plan is a tool used by the City Council to plan infrastructure-related projects that are typically over $50,000 and often need multiple years to complete. The City Council usually adopts the plan at the same time the city's Operational Budget is adopted. The funding, however, is only appropriated by the City Council for the first year of the plan - the outlying years are simply viewed as a planning tool.
