Marking a decade milestone in raising awareness for cancer research, the 10th Annual Tour de Pier opens registration for the award-winning fitness fundraiser that continues to move charity forward. The Tour de Pier, Southern California’s most-popular and unique fundraisers, brings one of the hottest indoor fitness activities – stationary cycling – outdoors to one of Los Angeles’ iconic venues, the Manhattan Beach Pier & Strand which is impressively designed to overlook the breathtaking Pacific Ocean. The charity event will benefit three nonprofit cancer organizations: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research; Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation for Brain Cancer Research.
The area’s best instructors and celebrity guests will spin riders through five 50-minute sessions with energizing music and loads of excitement. In addition to cycling, there will be a FREE Health & Fitness Expo. Since debuting in 2013, the Tour de Pier has raised more than nine million dollars for cancer research and support services, and aims to raise more than one million dollars this year to commemorate raising $10 million in 10 years.
