TO ATTEND PLEASE RSVP TO: Info@pflagmanhattanbeach.org. \n\nNOW AVAILABLE WITH ASL Interpreter *Please email a request a minimum of 4 days before the meeting\n \nAbout our Presenter:\n\nShoshana Goldberg is a Research Associate at Strength in Numbers Consulting Group\, where she oversees research and evaluation for social justice clients\, largely in the fields of LGBTQ youth health and HIV/AIDS. In addition to her work with Strength in Numbers\, she holds faculty appointments at UNC and University of Illinois-Chicago\, where she teaches graduate level courses on LGBTQ+ health. She has over 12 years of experience in quantitative\, qualitative\, and mixed-methods public health research\, and holds both an MPH\, and PhD\, in Maternal and Child Health and Epidemiology from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC). She also has training from the UNC Carolina Population Center and the Fenway Summer Institute for LGBT Population Health. Her areas of expertise include domestic and international social\, structural\, and policy/political determinants of LGBTQ+ health\, adolescent health\, health disparities and sexual and reproductive health. Before joining Strength in Numbers\, she consulted for research institutes\, think tanks and other consulting groups\, most recently for the Center for American Progress where she published a report on the impact of transgender sports policies on the health and well-being of transgender youth.\n\n\n\nA NOTE ABOUT VIRTUAL MEETINGS:\n\nWe will be utilizing Zoom features that provide the highest level of safety and confidentiality possible. We recognize that our typical evening support group meetings are not feasible for everyone due to work\, family or other demands.
